[Today's post is from Erin LoSacco, age 11, of Spotswood, NJ]
Twenty-nine girls tried out to be a cheerleader for my school team, and only 15 people made it. Only four sixth graders made the team...and I was one of them! It was me and three of my friends (Olivia, Cailey and Gillian). We practiced a cheer, a chant, and a dance. Then we performed it in front of two judges, which was nerve-wracking! The next day we went to the office after school and found out if we made the team. We were so excited when we found out we made it! Tomorrow we have out first game, and we are so exited!!!

Happy birthday, Matthew LoSacco!
Matthew LoSacco of Monroe, New Jersey turned the big one-one today, and we all wish him a very happy birthday.
Here is Matthew celebrating with a flaming candle at the Shogun 18 Hibachi-style restaurant in East Brunswick, NJ. He is seated between his grandma Mary LoSacco and cousin Erin LoSacco.

You're accepted!
I should probably wait until the rest of our family is notified, but as a proud parent I can't contain myself. Amy LoSacco of Downingtown, PA (although she'd probably say "of Glassboro, NJ") has been accepted into the graduate program at Rowan University, where she is just finishing up her undergraduate degree a semester early. She'll be graduating from Rowan this month with a major in Law & Justice, a minor in Theater, and with an Honors Program participation.
Amy plans to continue studying Law & Justice in graduate school, possibly with an eye to going to law school in the future. She has plenty of role models...her uncle Mark is a lawyer, uncle Frank a police Sergeant, and uncle Mohamed is on the auxiliary police.
Congratulations, Amy!
